Have a Nice Day - Bon Jovi

My second full cover! What did I learn going into this one after doing No Way Back?

Video Composition

Overall I didn't just want to improve my mixing skills but I also wanted to make the viewers visual experience a little more interesting. I did this mainly by just changing up and experimenting with different camera angles and focal lengths. One of the most notable ones is this one of the guitar solo. It uses a very wide angle with the guitar being a leading line across the entire frame. This makes it a lot more enjoyable to watch, and makes it seem like a very notable part. In which it is! :)

Audio Mixing

As I have now done one of these video's before I get another chance to make my own mix. Mixing how I understand it, is just how to make all the instruments heard and shine in a piece of music. I found this pretty difficult in the first one mainly because I had never done it before and I had no idea how to even work an EQ or compressor. However with my past experience and new research I now know how to use both and what both of them can allow a sound to do. I mainly used this on the drums, and made the attack of the drums a lot harder which to an extent sounded good but because I was recording 5 toms with only 3 mics, it was pretty flawed. I would love to improve this in my next one!
